The gym was founded in 2013 by brothers Ivan and Tomislav Dijaković. The combination of high quality management and a world-class coaching team made the gym internationally renowned.
It is not for nothing that UFD Gym trains, among others, UFC fighter David Zawada as well as KSW champions Roberto Soldić and Antun Račić or heavyweight boxer Agit Kabayel. The UFD Gym was named Germany’s best MMA gym in 2016 by the martial arts portal GNP1. Then in 2017, the web portal GFN named it the best gym of the year. Other awards followed.
Equally well-known from the UFD Gym in Düsseldorf are other fighters such as the former Olympic judoka and first Bellator world middleweight champion Héctor Lombard as well as Abus Magomedov, who is the current number one in his weight class in the Professional Fighters League.
